About Us

Chinese Association for Science and Business Inc. (CASB) is a US IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-for-profit organization. It was founded in 1997 in New York by a group of highly educated and motivated professionals with science-technology or finance background.

Goals:

  • to promote applications of science and technology in industry;
  • to exchange business ideas and develop entrepreneurship;
  • to promote exchanges and explore projects between China and other countries;
  • to build and sustain strong community of Chinese immigrants by helping them in career development and achieving better life quality .

Uniqueness:

  • CASB has over a thousand members who are professionals in IT industry, Biotech research, financial sector, and other corporate management. Many of them have made great achievements in high tech fields in the US.
  • Has wide global network and is determined to promote international cooperation.
  • Organizes activities mainly by using the latest communication technologies as well as traditional seminars and meetings.

Major activities / achievements:

  • Established Overseas High Tech Center and CASB Ventures LLC in New York to help members and other scientists to start up new high tech business.
  • Set up CASB Training Center to offer training and support to CASB members in career development. (See picture 11)
  • Set up and manage Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Students (OCS) Venture Park with cooperation of Shenzhen government to help overseas Chinese establish high-tech businesses in China. Details please see About Us.
  • Organize local activities and actively participate in community service in New York. See major activities.

  • Organize delegations to China to participate in activities and meetings in the high tech sector. (See pictures here)
  • Co-sponsor international conferences with Chinese delegation from different cities in China.
  • Created CASB International Scientific and Cultural Exchange Award to award the scientists in the community who have made outstanding contributions in science, education and culture. Award winners include world famous scientists such as Prof. T.D. Lee of Columbia University, a Nobel price winner for his great efforts to promote international exchange. Prof. T.D. Lee is also the advisor of CASB. (See picture here)
