On February 12, the “Entrepreneurship China – Chinese businessmen trip in South Guangdong” activities came into Shenzhen, the honorary staff delegation of the 12th Congress of Returned Overseas Chinese Family of Guangdong Province, came to Shenzhen, more than 120 overseas Chinese businessmen and leaders from 65 countries and regions visited the Shenzhen Industrial Exhibition Center, Qianhai, and participate in the “Shenzhen Smart – Global Sharing” docking meeting organized by the Shenzhen Returned Overseas Chinese Federation and Shenzhen Overseas Exchange Association(SOEA). Mr. Chen Nonghao, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of Guangdong Overseas Chinese Federation, and Mr. Wang Qiang, Member of the Standing Committee of Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the CPPCC and Head of United Front Work Department of CCP Central Committee (UFWD), attended the event.
Overseas Chinese businessmen and leaders have a wide range of domestic and overseas relations and cross-cultural exchange experience, and are sincerely welcome to visit Shenzhen often, with personal experience, vivid examples, to tell the story of Shenzhen, Guangdong story, China’s story, spread the good voice of China, and to make greater contributions to the promotion of exchanges among civilizations and mutual learning between Shenzhen and overseas.
At the product docking meeting, Shenzhen Investment Promotion Division made a promotion of Shenzhen’s investment environment, and the relevant person in charge of the Overseas Chinese Industry Trade Fair Forum made a promotion of the exhibition. 28 enterprises participated in the meeting, with products covering intelligent robots, sports cameras, drones, etc. The overseas Chinese businessmen and leaders enjoyed the show of the drone formation performance, and representatives of Shenzhen’s five industry associations, including drones, security, retail business, industrial design, import and export, carried out docking exchanges with overseas Chinese businessmen and leaders.
Li Daxi said the SOEA has a deep connection with Shenzhen. As early as 2000, the SOEA established the Shenzhen International Students Entrepreneurship Park (SISEP) as a joint venture with the Shenzhen Municipal Government, which has incubated more than 1,000 science and technology enterprises, thanks to Shenzhen’s favorable business environment. “Shenzhen continues to increase its efforts to attract and utilize foreign investment, and continuously optimizes the environment for foreign investment and business development. I am full of confidence in further deepening our cooperation with Shenzhen in the future.”
